Educational Programming

Tama County Conservation offers a wide variety of fun, naturalist-led programming including crafts, educational talks, animal encounters, guided hikes, fishing, canoeing, archery, and more.

January 6: Knee High Naturalist: Tracks!, 10am at the Toledo Public Library  

January 9: OWLS Series: Bats with Amy Andrews, Poweshiek Co. Conservation, 11 am at Otter Creek Lake & Park

January 17: Bird Watching 101, 2 pm at the Traer Library

January 20: Paper Making Workshop, 12 pm at Otter Creek Lake & Park. Call 641-484-2231 to register. $5 class fee.

January 27: Ice Camp with Tama Co. Conservation & 4-H, 9 am- 12 pm at Otter Creek Lake & Park. Contact Tama County 4-H to register (grades 4-12). Rain date: Feb 3.

Programming & Events

Tama County Conservation offers a wide variety of fun educational programming including crafts, educational talks, animal encounters, guided hikes, fishing, canoeing, archery, and more. We will gladly work with schools, childcare centers, homeschool groups, clubs, organizations, businesses, wedding parties, and other groups to provide fun educational experiences. Any group is eligible for free programming, even if you're not part of an organization!
