What is radon?
Radon is a cancer-causing, radioactive gas. It may be a problem in your home and you don't even know it. You can't see, smell or taste radon. In fact, the Surgeon General has warned that radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the United States today.
The American Medical Association, the American Lung Association, the Surgeon General and others confirm that radon is a leading environmental health-risk in homes today. According to the EPA, Iowa has more above the recommended action level than any other state.
