Board of Supervisors Minutes
June 14, 2021

The Tama County Board of Supervisors met at 9:30 a.m. June 14, 2021.  Present: 1st District Supervisor, Larry Vest; 2nd District Supervisor, Bill Faircloth and 3rd District Supervisor, Dan Anderson.

Motion by Faircloth, seconded by Anderson to approve the minutes of the June 7th regular meeting.   All voted aye.  Motion carried

Stephen Mayne, Conservation Director, was present to make his annual request to have funds deposited to the LAD (Land Acquisition Account) from Iowa DNR for reimbursement for Phases I & II of the Lake Restoration Project in the amount of $89,131.67.  Motion by Anderson, seconded by Faircloth to deposit $89,131.67 of reimbursement from Iowa DNR to the LAD Account.  All voted aye.  Motion carried.

Motion by Faircloth, seconded by Anderson to authorize the Board Chair to sign the deed and documents to transfer a 1.83 acre parcel located at 2865 320th Street in Section 19 of York Township.  Formerly a radio tower site known as “Vining tower site.”  All voted aye.  Motion carried.

The Board has received a request from the Tama-Toledo Chamber of Commerce to use the Tama County Courthouse Square on July 9th for the Annual Toledo Stoplight Festival, which is a chamber event.  Motion by Anderson, seconded by Faircloth to approve the use of the Courthouse Square on July 9th for the Annual Toledo Stoplight Festival.  All voted aye.  Motion carried.

Motion by Anderson, seconded by Faircloth to approve the claims for payment as presented.  All voted aye.  Motion carried.

Chairman Vest adjourned the meeting at 9:45 a.m.
