The Board met with Lyle Brehm, Tama County Engineer, to get a road projects report.
Tammy Wise, HR/Insurance Administrator, asked the Board (per e-mail) to extend the County’s Infectious Disease Plan through February 28, 2021. The current one expires January 31, 2021. The plan allows for time off for employees with COVID-19 or exposure to COVID-19. Motion by Faircloth, seconded by Anderson to extend the Tama County Infectious Disease Plan through February 28, 2021. All voted aye. Motion carried. This will be visited again on March 1st.
The Board discussed the County pasture lease. It was terminated early due to Derecho damage to the Secondary Roads shop next to the pasture and the possible need to rebuild out there. Construction will not start right away so the Board would like to reinstate the contract with a clause stating that the acreage and annual cash rent may change in the event of the expansion. Motion by Anderson, seconded by Faircloth to approve the added language to the contract and to contact the renter for their approval and agreement to this. All voted aye. Motion carried.
Motion by Anderson, seconded by Faircloth to approve the claims for payment as presented. All voted aye. Motion carried.
Chairman Vest adjourned the meeting at 9:43 a.m.
