Board of Supervisors Minutes
September 8, 2020
The Tama County Board of Supervisors met at 9:30 a.m. September 8, 2020. Present: 1st District Supervisor, Larry Vest; 2nd District Supervisor, Kendall Jordan and 3rd District Supervisor, Dan Anderson.
Motion by Jordan, seconded by Vest to approve the minutes of the August 31st regular meeting. All voted aye. Motion carried
Logan Roberts, Conservation Director, was present to discuss the disposal of the Marie Hladik Roadside Park north of Toledo. The Conservation Board recently opened it up for sealed bids, they received 2 bids. The Conservation Board chose to go with the highest bid of $5,000 from Marty Hoskey.
Motion by Vest, seconded by Jordan to set the canvas for the East Marshall School District Special Election held on September 8th for Monday September 14th at 8:30 am. All voted aye. Motion carried.
Motion by Vest, seconded by Jordan to vote to approve the termination of the current county home pasture lease. There was one year left on this lease. This is due to the recent derecho storm and the need to build/rebuild the county shed out by that land. All voted aye. Motion carried.
Motion by Jordan, seconded by Vest to approve the claims for payment as presented. All voted aye. Motion carried.
Chairman Anderson adjourned the meeting at 9:47 a.m.
