At 8:45 the supervisors canvassed the South Tama School District Special Election held on March 3, 2020.
The Tama County Board of Supervisors met at 9:30 a.m. March 9, 2020. Present: 1st District Supervisor, Larry Vest; 2nd District Supervisor, Kendall Jordan and 3rd District Supervisor, Dan Anderson.

The Board met with Lyle Brehm, Tama County Engineer, to get a road projects report.
Motion by Jordan, seconded by Vest to approve the re-appointment of John Keenan to the Conservation Board. This term would run through December 31, 2024. All voted aye. Motion carried.
At 10:00 the Board held a public hearing regarding the maximum property tax dollars that can be levied for FY21 property taxes. The Board’s intention is to keep the dollars asked close to the same for the previous fiscal year. There will be a slight increase for the General Services levy due to an increase in the property valuations and the need to build up the reserves due to the fact that approximately $1 million of reserves were used for the 911 radio project and the need to build those reserves back up. Chairman Anderson opened the hearing up to public comments. Public comments: None. At 10:02 Chairman Anderson closed the public hearing. Motion by Jordan, seconded by Vest to approve the following resolution for maximum property tax dollars for FY21:
