Board of Supervisors Minutes
July 20, 2020

The Tama County Board of Supervisors met at 9:30 a.m. July 20, 2020.  Present:  1st District Supervisor, Larry Vest; 2nd District Supervisor, Kendall Jordan and 3rd District Supervisor, Dan Anderson.

Motion by Jordan, seconded by Anderson to approve the minutes of the July 13th regular meeting.   All voted aye.  Motion carried

The Board met with Lyle Brehm, Tama County Engineer, to get a road projects report.

At 10:00 the Board held a public hearing regarding the disposal of the County real property at 2455 Highway 63 Toledo, known as the Marie Hladik Roadside Park.  This property is in Section 15 of Howard Township.  The purpose of this public hearing is to consider a proposal to dispose of this property by a sealed public auction.  Chairman Anderson opened the public hearing at 10 am.  Public comments:  None.
At 10:01 Chairman Anderson closed the public hearing.  Motion by Vest, seconded by Jordan to
accept sealed bids to dispose property at 2455 Hwy 63, Toledo, Marie Hladik Roadside Park.  All voted aye.  Motion carried.

The Board met with Wes Ray, County Assessor, to discuss allowing an exempt status on the Pied Piper Daycare property in Traer.  They have met all the requirements to qualify for this.  The Supervisors will look over the application and documents and take action on this at their next meeting. 

Motion by Jordan, seconded by Vest to approve the claims for payment as presented.  All voted aye.  Motion carried.

Chairman Anderson adjourned the meeting at 10:21 a.m.
