Board of Supervisors Minutes
September 9, 2019

The Tama County Board of Supervisors met at 9:30 a.m. September 9, 2019.  Present:  1st District Supervisor, Larry Vest; 2nd District Supervisor, Kendall Jordan and 3rd District Supervisor, Dan Anderson.

Motion by Anderson, seconded by Vest to approve the minutes of the September 3rd regular meeting.   All voted aye.  Motion carried. 

The Board met with Lyle Brehm, Tama County Engineer, to get a road projects report. 

The Supervisors received a request from the City of Tama asking for a re-assignment of two Tama County Tax Sale Certificates #14.27.381.002 and #14.27.381.007 to the City.  The properties are located at 504 and 508 John Street, Tama, and have been abandoned for years and are a nuisance and danger to the public.  The City would undertake proceedings to acquire a Tax Sale Deed on the properties and demolish the residences.  Motion by Anderson, seconded by Vest to re-assign Tama County Tax Sale Certificates #14.27.381.002 and #14.27.381.007 to the City of Tama at no cost.  All voted aye.  Motion carried.

The Board met with Logan Roberts, Conservation Director, to get a report on the residence at the county lake.  The Conservation Board would like to put money towards the lake restoration and park improvements at this time.  Motion by Vest, seconded by Anderson to proceed with the removal of the residence.  All voted aye.  Motion carried.

Motion by Vest, seconded by Anderson to approve the claims for payment as presented.  All voted aye.  Motion carried.

Chairman Jordan adjourned the meeting at 9:45 a.m.
