Board of Supervisors Minutes
January 14, 2019

The Tama County Board of Supervisors met at 9:30 a.m. January 14, 2019.  Present:  1st District Supervisor, Larry Vest; 2nd District Supervisor, Kendall Jordan and 3rd District Supervisor, Dan Anderson.

Motion by Anderson, seconded by Vest to approve the minutes of the January 7th regular meeting.   All voted aye.  Motion carried. 

The Board opened the bids received for the county crop ground and pasture ground in
Section 2 of Toledo Township.  They are both for three year terms.  They were as follows:  Cropground – Andy Chyma $35,090/yr; Rick Hopper $33,417/yr; Troy Cline $30,250/yr; HKH Farm, LLC $30,250/yr; Joel Ehrig $28,500/yr; Mark Kriegel $26,630/yr; and one bid not opened due to it arriving after the 9:00 am deadline.  Motion by Vest, seconded by Anderson to accept the bid from Andy Chyma for $35,090 per year.  All voted aye.  Motion carried. 
Pasture ground – Annette Kotouc $2,050/yr; David Boldt $1,280/yr; Barb Wire Ranch $1,200/yr; Ryan Brubaker $1,000/yr and Nick Kalinay $770.  Motion by Anderson, seconded by Vest to accept the bid from Annette Kotouc for $2,050 per year.  All voted aye.  Motion carried.

Motion by Vest, seconded by Anderson to approve the Sheriff’s Quarterly Report.  All voted aye.  Motion carried.

Motion by Anderson, seconded by Vest to approve the Sheriff’s Annual Report.  All voted aye.  Motion carried.

Motion by Vest, seconded by Anderson to re-appoint Dr. Polly Hineman, D.O., Tama, and Duane Backen, Tama, to the Tama County Public Health Board.  Their terms will expire 12/31/2021.  All voted aye.  Motion carried.

Motion by Anderson, seconded by Vest to appoint Tammy Wise as the ADA Coordinator.  All voted aye.  Motion carried.

Motion by Anderson, seconded by Vest to approve the claims for payment as presented.  All voted aye.  Motion carried.

Chairman Jordan adjourned the meeting at 9:52 a.m.

 

The Board canvassed the Drainage District 1 Election held on January12th.  Robert Steffeny was voted in as Trustee.
