Board of Supervisors Minutes
September 18, 2017

The Tama County Board of Supervisors met at 9:30 a.m. September 18, 2017.  Present:  1st District Supervisor, Larry Vest and 2nd District Supervisor, Kendall Jordan.  3rd District Supervisor, Dan Anderson, was absent.

Motion by Jordan, seconded by Vest to approve the minutes of the September 11th regular meeting.   All voted aye.  Motion carried. 

Bob Etzel, Conservation Director, was present to ask the Board to approve a deposit to the Land Acquisition Fund in the amount of $161,293.18.  This is for reimbursement received for repairs to the Wolfe Creek Trail from damages caused in the 2013 disaster.  The total project cost was $189,756.68 of that $165,923.99 was expended from the Land Acquisition & Development Fund and the rest came out of the regular conservation budget general fund.  Motion by Jordan, seconded by Vest to approve a deposit of $161,293.18 to the Land Acquisition & Development Fund.   All voted aye.  Motion carried.

The Dysart Library Board has contacted the Supervisors to let them know that the rural Tama County position on their board has been vacated by Ann Annis.  The Dysart Board would like to recommend Donna Wilson to fill the vacancy.  Motion by Jordan, seconded by Vest to appoint Donna Wilson, Dysart, to the rural Tama County position on the Dysart Library Board.  All voted aye.  Motion carried.

Motion by Jordan, seconded by Vest to approve the claims for payment as presented.  All voted aye.  Motion carried.

Vice Chairman Vest adjourned the meeting at 10:10 a.m.
