Board of Supervisors Minutes
November 27, 2017
The Tama County Board of Supervisors met at 9:30 a.m. November 27, 2017. Present: 1st District Supervisor, Larry Vest; 2nd District Supervisor, Kendall Jordan and 3rd District Supervisor, Dan Anderson.
Motion by Vest, seconded by Jordan to approve the minutes of the November 20th regular meeting. All voted aye. Motion carried.
The Board met with Lyle Brehm, Tama County Engineer, to get a road projects report.
The Board met with Katherine Ollendieck to get an update on the Traer Historical Museum. They are working on a $165,000 project to update and make repairs to the museum and would like to have the support of the Supervisors for this with the Vison Grant (now called the Enhance Iowa Grant) the county offers as a $10,000 match. The Board needs to update the resolution to address the name change of that grant. This will be put on next week’s agenda. No action taken.
Motion by Vest, seconded by Jordan to appoint Mark Bandy as a temporary part time Assistant County Attorney for a two month period while the current Assistant County Attorney is off on FMLA leave. All voted aye. Motion carried.
Motion by Jordan, seconded by Vest to appoint Todd Kruse, Tama, to the Magistrate Appointing Commission. This is to fill a vacancy, the term will end 12-31-2019All voted aye. Motion carried.
Motion by Jordan, seconded by Vest to approve the claims for payment as presented. All voted aye. Motion carried.
Chairman Anderson adjourned the meeting at10:32 a.m.
