The grant paperwork looks in order. Motion by Vest, seconded by Jordan to approve the request for the Enhance Iowa Grant for the City of Traer for their pool project. All voted aye. Motion carried.
Motion by Jordan, seconded by Vest to approve the claims for payment as presented. All voted aye. Motion carried.
At 10:00 the board went into a recess to take time to travel to Poweshiek County to meet with their Board of Supervisors to discuss the Engineer Sharing Contract. The Board reconvened at 10:40 am in Montezuma at the Poweshiek County Board of Supervisors meeting room to discuss the current engineer sharing agreement between the two counties. Tama and Poweshiek currently share the county engineer with Tama County being the employer of record and Poweshiek County reimbursing Tama County for half of the expenses and salary. This has been working for approximately 11 years and both counties are happy with this agreement. After discussion, it was decided to continue this agreement. The agreement automatically renews every year unless one County gives the other written notice that they would like to discontinue it.
Chairman Anderson adjourned the meeting at 11:00 a.m.
